Occupancy

• The Upper Level of the cottage sleeps two but an extra twin bedroom can be added to bring the total Upper Level capacity to four. There is an additional Mid-Level Bunk Room with a bath and/or a Lower-Level bedroom with a queen sized bed and bath should extra space be required. All additional rooms offer lake views and are available only as "add-ons". See Accommodations & Rate Information above for details or refer to the FAQs Page
• The maximum occupancy of the cottage is 8. (Additional guests may be added under certain circumstances with prior approval)
• Children 16 years or younger are welcome with prior approval.
• Unregistered guests / friends / visitors may only be invited on the property with prior approval. Unregistered over night guests will be billed to the cardholder at $100.00 per night / per person and could result in a premature end to your stay.

Services

• While we enjoy presenting our guests with fresh fruit and snack baskets, Winterwood Lakeside Cottage is not a Bed and Breakfast. Excellent restaurants, grocery and health food stores are located in nearby Eureka Springs.
• Local phone service is free. Long distance calls will require a calling card. Cards are sold here if needed.
• Cell service at this location is spotty. Verizon seems to work best and AT&T is fair.
• A television and DVD player are provided. Since we are in the mountains, the TV signals are too weak to watch. A small selection of DVDs is available in the office. We encourage you to bring your own DVDs.
• WiFi is provided via satellite connection only and may be slower than what may be considered normal. Service may be occasionally interrupted due to weather conditions and is not available in the evenings after 9pm. Our WiFi connection is delivered to us via satellite. Winterwood has a limited monthly usage package that is available to our guests. Since we are charged an overage fee when we exceed our monthly limitations, we ask that you not download movies, YouTube or any sort of large file(s) that will run up our usage. In short, PLEASE limit your Internet activities to business and E-mail purposes. PLEASE do not use the Internet for amusement or entertainment reasons. We monitor our usage account daily and excessive use will be billed to you at the prevailing rate plus 15%.

On Site

• This is a non-smoking cottage. Smoking is permitted, however, on the veranda as well as other outdoor areas. We are very strict about this. Your cooperation and the proper disposal of debris is requested. A fee of $250.00 will be added to your stay if you or your visitors smoke indoors.
• No pets.
• No Candle Burning.
• No boats without prior approval.
• Sorry, no motorcycles.
• You are responsible for damage(s) to the cottage, its furnishings or equipment as well as to the boat dock and other Winterwood assets caused by you or members of your party and that are above and beyond what would be considered “normal wear and tear.” An additional 15% administrative fee will be added to the cost of damage, repair or replacement.

Reservations

• Price does not include 8.5% state sales tax.
• 50% of your intended stay will be billed to your card at the time your reservation is made. The balance is due upon check in and payable by check or cash only. You may, however, pay your balance with your credit card with prior approval. Please call or write.

Confirmation

• For your convenience, a written copy of the confirmation will be sent to you via E-mail. Directions to Winterwood Lakeside Cottage and the answers to questions that you didn’t remember to ask us will be included.

Cancellation

• Dates may only be cancelled by speaking with our Reservation Office and by receiving our cancellation number. Please call 479.253.2530. Letters, E-mails or messages left on an answering machine are not acceptable. 30% (+ tax) of the intended stay will be billed for cancellations made more than 28 days in advance of the expected arrival date. 50% (+ tax) of the intended stay will be billed for cancellations made 28 days or less prior to the expected arrival date.
• No Shows will be liable for the full amount of their reservation plus sales tax.
